The Doctoral Program in Education for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities is part of the Department of Special Education at the Graduate School of Education, Anadolu University. The aim of the program is to train individuals who can use the knowledge, skills, and competencies they have acquired in the field of education for individuals with intellectual disabilities and other developmental disabilities in academic and professional settings; who can create original knowledge and carry out studies in their field, thereby making an impact at the scientific and social levels; who can follow scientific and professional developments in their field and produce high-quality academic publications at the national and international levels; produces knowledge in line with the country’s needs to find solutions to problems, develops educational strategies, evidence-based educational models, policy recommendations, and projects, develops national and international collaborations, and conducts studies within this framework.
