  • 1. Explain the basic approaches (critical and liberal approaches), orientating the field of mass media studies. 1.1. State the intellectual expansions belonging to liberal approaches about the field of media. 1.2. Express the contributions of critical approach to the field. 1.3. Restate the fundamental differences and similarities between critical and liberal approaches.
  • 2. Explain the basic concepts, background and historical classifications of critical approach. 2.1. Describe the basic concepts used by the critical approach about media. 2.2. Express the background of which critical approach make use for the assessments about media within an interdisciplinary perspective. 2.3. Explain the differences of critical approaches within its own space and attitudes to media in the historical process.

Debate the “culture industry” concept of Frankfurt School (Echole Frankfurt ) about media. 3.2. Interpret the langue/speech of media texts and their evaluation by semiotical overview. 3.3.
