At the end of this course student; 1. will be able to explain the benefits of visual research methodologies in research process.
2. will be able to explain the methodologies and approaches through interpreting the visual; 2.1. explains the reflective gaze on research process, 2.2. describes the discourse analysis, 2.3. relates visual semiotic approach with research components, 2.4. relates visual culture with research components.
3. will be able to explain the methodologies and approaches through collecting and documenting the visual; 3.1. interrelate action research and visual research methodologies, 3.2. apply ethnography with a focus on the visuals, 3.3. explain the components of using photography in visual research methodologies.
4. will be able to explain the approaches related creating visual data; 4.1. transform visuals to research data, 4.2. interrelate research process with A/r/tography, 4.3. explain technology based research, 4.4. use design based research at the research process.
5. will be able to explain the approaches related presenting and reporting the visual data; 5.1. explain issues and possibilities in presenting visual research, 5.2. explain ethical issues in visual research process.
