Catalog Content Basic concepts and principles related to guidance and counseling, history, scope, and specializations of guidance and counseling; research and evaluation methods in guidance and counseling, counseling process, theories of counseling, school counseling models (traditional and developmental), approaches of school counseling (crises focused, remedial, preventative, developmental), aims and principles of traditional school counseling model, roles and functions of traditional school counselor, aims, principles, and program (Comprehensive Developmental Guidance Program), fundamental services/interventions of developmental school counseling model and roles and functions of traditional school counselor; the aim and principles of developmental and preventative approach in guidance and counseling, importance of life skills education in developmental approach, approaches to positive youth development and prevention levels in preventative approach (basic, second and third level).
