Catalog Content Introduction to Communication Studies course is a course that deals with the problematic, basic arguments and methodologies of mass communication theories and researches. The purpose of the theories is to analyze the interactions of the media with social, cultural, economic and political processes; to be able to see the effects on individuals and societies.Throughout the semester, the selection of theories by week was determined in parallel with the historical development process of communication research, so the course follows the historical development of mainstream /liberal and critical/Marxist media studies.
