Catalog Content Politics of The Balkans deals with the historical, geographical, demographic, economic characteristics of the Balkans and current political issues related to the region. In the first weeks the general characteristics of the region and the political history of the region from ancient times to the present are discussed. The situation of the region during the period between the two World Wars, and the Cold War are explained. International and domestic problems faced by the Balkan states during the post-Cold War period are examined. Finally, Turkey's relations with the Balkan states are discussed.
