Week - 1 Overview of the Arabic language: Its status among world languages; fundamental characteristics of classical Arabic and its dialects.
Week - 2 Classification of nouns, verbs, and particles; definite and indefinite forms; masculine and feminine structures; singular, dual, and plural nouns
Week - 3 The seven categories (Aqsām al-Sab‘a): sound and weak verbs; separate (independent) and connected (attached) pronouns
Week - 4 The conjugation and usage of the past and present/future tenses, as well as the forms and functions of imperative and prohibitive verbs
Week - 5 The i‘rāb of the imperfect (present) verb; verb–subject agreement, the object and its types
Week - 6 Prepositions (ḥarf al-jar) and their functions; selected adverbs and their uses; demonstrative pronouns
Week - 7 Mid-Term Exam
Week - 8 Nominal sentences: the subject (mubtada) and predicate (khabar), including the different types of predicate
Week - 9 Noun (Genitive) Constructions (iḍāfa) and Adjective Phrases
Week - 10 The verb kāna and its sisters: forms and syntactic functions
Week - 11 Inna and its sisters
Week - 12 Understanding the concepts of mu‘rab (declinable) and mabnī (indeclinable) forms, with practical applications of i‘rāb
Week - 13 Genera review and preparation for the final exam
