Students will be able to explain the general characteristics of the Arabic Language
Will be able to explain the status of Arabic among world languages.
Will be able to identify the fundamental differences between Standard Arabic and its dialects.
Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the morphological structures of nouns, verbs, and pronouns.
Will be able to classify nouns, verbs, and particles.
Will be able to demonstrate knowledge of and apply the dual and plural forms of nouns (sound masculine plural, sound feminine plural, and broken plurals).
Will be able to correctly use separate and attached pronouns, including subject and object forms.
Will be able to recognize and apply verb conjugations (past, present, imperative, and prohibitive).
Students will be able to identify fundamental i‘rab concepts and sentence patterns in the context of Arabic syntax (nahw).
Will be able to explain the concept of i‘rab and distinguish the basic i‘rab cases (nominative, accusative, and genitive
Will be able to identify the components of a nominal sentence (mubtadaʾ–khabar and the different types of predicates) and analyze them correctly in context.
Will be able to identify the components of a verbal sentence (verb–subject agreement and the various types of objects) and analyze them accurately in context.
Students will be able to acquire knowledge about various elements of Arabic grammar.
Will be able to recognize prepositions (ḥarf al-jar) and their functions, and use them accurately.
Will be able to explain and apply the functions of inna and its sisters, as well as kāna and its sisters, within a sentence.
Will be able to correctly form noun and adjective phrases and use them within sentences.
Students will be able to develop skills of application and analysis in grammar topics.
Will be able to carry out basic sentence analyses on short texts.
Will be able to reinforce their knowledge of Arabic grammar through basic grammar exercises.
